connectivity kit Version2

Post by allotesting »

Hi all :D

I have te connectivity kit version 2 and the via 6421 card and would like to upgrade a liteon drive from 1.50 to 1.51.
My question is how do we switch the liteon On/Off in a quick succession ( as explained by Sadalius in his upgrading liteon from 1.50 to 1.51 with jungleflasher video tutorial), as the connectivity kit has no ON/OFF switch
I search in many forums an answer for this question with no success.
Hope to find out here the solution
thanks in advance :o

Three things here, you can either buy the Ck3, wire your own switch into the power connector for the CK, or do what I did.

I used an AC adapter with molex plugged into a power strip with nothing else plugged into it as my power switch. Very ghetto but it worked until I got my CK3.

Thanks for the reply

Do you have a kind of drawing of what you did as I don't really see what you did
and also do you think that I could just disconnect the molex from the the connectivity kit?

You could but getting it un-plugged and plugged back in, in time is kind of a pain.As you can see my power strip is connected to my AC adapter that has a molex connector. This way I can use the power switch on the strip as my quick on/off.

The adapter is run up through a port hole in my desk to my CK2.

Thanks a lot for the pictures, it is of great help but the last question would be how did you connect the wire to the molex. I mean a 2 wires to a 4 inputs molex.
and also what is the output of the AC adapter that you can use
I am sorry for the noob questions but thats what I am
Thanks

The ac adapter is a third party adapter, they have them on ebay. Here's one that I found.
Ebay.
