I loaded jungle flasher and it will extract the dvd key i save all the files, but when i try to click erase it will not do it no matter what i do cus for some reason my comp wont get the vender id. so i built the firmware in JF then used IPREP to flash it but when i use the command flit 1234567 12345. i go thru stages but when i press W to write the firmware i get the error UNKOWN FLASH CHIP, then Iprep goes back to the c:\ prompt??

Are you using a CK3 pro/lite? To flash the lite-on you must be using a serial device like the CK3. The lite-on will NOT dump the firmware through the sata port. So a serial cable is required.

No i didnt have the serial cable in. I inserted the hacked firmware which i built via jungle flasher into the backup folder of the usb which i should be able to just erase the drive then flash it with the hacked firmware.

If this is a stock drive
you have to have ether a comrs232 9 pin cable or a usb hooked to a ck3
to get all the files you need.

It will not work if you dont

nah its an original drive that came with the system. I have got all 4 bin files ,,, key - inquiry - identyfy and dummy. Which i got using the ck3 and probe on the 707 port. but when i try to get the vender details it wont find it, so i built the firmware via JF and saved it onto the usb stick which i prepaird via IPREP.

Whilst in IPREP

1. flit 1234567 12345

it erases the drive then askes what port but shows the id of the drive with the original name

2. W (for write)

3. "ERROR" UNKOWN FLSH CHIP

Im stuck lol

man
you need to go into detail
on what you did

if this is the first time this drive has been dump/flashed
there is no way you got the info you need to flash the drive
if you did not use a usb on a ck3 or a com cable
you have to use one or the other

With it being a new flash, you MUST use the serial cable with iPrep. If you don't have one and don't want to buy one, then you'll have to make JF work. Are you using a VIA 6421A or L sata raid card? If so you need to disable the drivers by renaming the driver file.

i have a pci sata card which is VIA 6421.

I got the drive to show when i click the dvdkey32 tab in JF

1.i click the right I/O port and it finds the drive no problem.
2.i select com3 and it sees the ck3 prob as usb to serial.
3.i then use the probe on the 707 port on lite-on drive i press get key (WORKS PERFECT)
4. it comes back with KEY.bin - DUMMY.bin - IDENTIFY.bin - INQUIRY.bin ( I save all these to a folder on desktop)

I then click on MTKFLASH 32 TAB

1. i then click intro/device id which doesnt come back with anythin for what ever reason i get this error
Sending Vendor Intro to port 0xC800
Status 0x51

Is there something i havent done or doing anything wrong??

so you dumped the file through a usb cable.

will the drive do anything right now or is it locked up.
will it eject
or did it lock up after the erase command.
