spoofed hitachi 59DJ as liteon using jungle flasher 1.55

Post by jakehungar »

I have a 360 that was spoofed as a liteon drive. the dvd drive is hitachi 59DJ i had look at your youtube video on restored
I had try to retored it using jungle flasher and then i click on ixtreme flash everything went fine no error. it sadi flash complete. after i finished I plug the drive back to the 360 all i get is one flashing red light on the bottom right coner and the tv screen is just blank. i had place the xtreme 1.51 and orig59.bin in the same folder in the jungle flash. now how do i get this back to normal as is? it was flashed with 1.4 firmware i was trying to update it to 1.51 firmware. i had dump the spoofed firmware and saved it in a differnt folder. can i used this firmware to get it back to normal ? what needed to be done to it? thnx

the files i had saved is :
backup bin (dumped befored try to restore and flash)
Hit-OFW.bin

Use Jungle Flasher to restore the drive and test the drive again. If your drive and 360 work fine with the original firmware then go back to Jungle Flasher to update to iXtreme 1.51.

Here's a good tutorial on doing a restore. Restore
And man, I'm sorry but I totally blanked out when you said it had been spoofed as a lite-on. So basically you'll take the hitachi firmware and load it up as target in Jungle Flasher, then click Manual Spoofing, then at the top click Load Key.bin. Now find your Lite-on Key and load that. Save that to file with JF. Now you can put that and the original hitachi bins in the firmware folder of JF by themselves and then do the restore and flashing of your spoofed firmware. Here's a step by step:

1. Open JF, Click "Open Target Firmware"
2. Click "Manual Spoofing" and then "Load Key.bin"
3. Find your lite-on key.bin, load that.
4. Save new spoofed hitachi firmware to same folder where the original hitachi firmware is.
5. Rename new cfw to ix151-59.bin
6. Put both firmwares in the firmware folder of Jungle Flasher by themselves.
7. Hook up Hit drive, and power on.
8. Go into Mode B, verify JF recognizes drive.
9. Click Flash iXtreme.
10. Click yes on the following pop-ups and you're done. (Well at least you should be.)

If this is at all unclear just post up and I'll do my best to help.

so my hitachi drive not brick then? even it had one flashing red light on the bottom right corner and the screen is blank
so i just put in the backup dumped bin file ( which is not original it is the spoofed hitachi drive keys as lite-on bin) and the hit-cfw int the jungle flasher folder then flash it? do i need to restored it again . when i restored i had the orig59.bin in the jungle flasher folder and my hit-cfw.bin in the same folder. is that correct?

the orig59.bin is from the ixtreme v1.51 folder

No you're Hit is not bricked! (YAY)! And no you do not need to do a restore again if it's already there. Just follow the steps above and you should be good as gold.
