GETTING ERROR with hacking liteon with iprep

i followed everything in your video...i didnt have or i thought i didnt have a com port in the back of the computer but it was on the onboard...so i plug a cable up..i also have pci express com rs232 card coming too.

it says liteon....but the xbox was made in 2006 but the drive was made in 2008

i do too..i have a liteon to that was made in 2008...but my xboxs was made 2006..why would a xbox from 2006 have a 2008 drive in it...i told you before i had to turn it back to ms...maybe they hot swaped it i dont...cause it say mimics benq with i get error...plus i just went to radio shack and bought a rs-232c cable..and still same thing

first i launch iprep 008.9 i load the liteon ix1.5 firmware...my primary port:e400 sata controller: via vt6421...
com port: com 1..format it include batch files format at fat32
i start up iprep in dos i have the sata hooked up the com cable hooked up the ck3 probe ready...i follow the steps turn off power..half tray. power back on..press y i got the probe in the 707 point and it says

ok i figured out my problem.
i purchased this db9 serial adapter

i was in a hurry and bought the wrong one.
i need this one

difference is one of them is a crossover and the other is a straight threw.

i feel better knowing it was my error.

im gonna over nite this adapter. ill let you know it it goes.

nonono i am talking about the serial port adapter that connects to the motherboard. not the serial cable
because i have an intel board i needed the adapter for the intel MoBO i got the one that works with other mobo's
