Would it be possible to add a phpBB Twitter plugin?

I know I would utilise this if it were around.

what did you have in mind for it

Just whenever a post is made, it would update a RHPG twitter acount, allowing all followers/users to see and directly link to it.

Would be very handy on the go, I use TwitterFon and a few others on my iPhone and this would be nice.

The iPhone Devteam use a similar update system to keep people up to date.

Pretty sure there is either a custom made plugin for it or it would just be a small script.

I'll be looking into the twitter thing. Can you post a link to a specific plugin and I'll see what I can do. Of course CoFree and I will discuss it before trying to add it to the site.

I've been looking, but I've seen several different ones that does different things. I want to make sure that we are looking at the same one. That way if we can add it in, it will be the one that everyone wants.

Some of the mods allow for your twitter updates to be posted onto a forum, others vice versa, the board posts go to Twitter.

The AutoTweeter one is the one that posts board threads to twitter, then if anyone searches twitter for any terms like "iPrep" then RHPG would come up and you'd gain a follower/user.

Would they have to come onto the site to read the threads or are they automaticly posted thru twitter's site??

I'm assuming it gives you the thread title and a link to the site since twitters post limit is 140 characters.

I don't think that one will work on our site. It requires phpbb 3.0.4 and CURL to be enabled. Our version of PHPBB is only 3.0 and I don't know if CURL is enabled.

CoFree, if your interested in the twitter stuff, you might have to check with crypie to see if we can update the site to the latest version, 3.0.5 and see about enabling CURL, if it isn't already enabled.

is with the update
there is(could be) img problems
and
i dont think right now (at this point in time)
i need the head ace of messing with all the img
