Hitachi 78 tsop bricked

I was sent a couple of Hitachi 78 PCB's that had been bricked
I removed the tsop on the first PCB, flashed it with retail fw resoldered it and tested in drive and the drive was ejecting ok

I have done the same with second 78k but after soldering on the tsop it still not ejecting
I have checked all the tsop legs gone over with solder again
what would be the possible cause I was going to flash a new tsop and solder that on

any ideas, thanks for any advice

that is one thing to try

also it could just be dead
something other than a bad flash

if you have the key
there are faster and cheaper was to fix that console
but
from the sound of it you new that.
