Does any 1 know if there is a program that will let you send messges from 1 comp to another on a home network?

i cant seem to get the net send command to work

i got one 4 comps 2 with xp and 1 vista 1 windows 7

i just want to be able to send message from the xp and the vista

Well, you can use dos, to send messages. The command is "Net Send" windows updates have disabled it. I think it had something to do with viruses/adware was spamming the network with messages.

You can enable it, just start the messenger service on all your comp's (Start>Run>Services.msc>Messenger then right click it and start the service) then go into the command prompt and type "net send ComputerNameHere some messages overhere"



Or, you can google "Lan Chat" and find the application that you would like.

My step bro is really good at this stuff he transfered all my moms stuff from her desktop to her laptop ill ask him tomorrow he comes in late from tonight when im in bed.

i know about the net send commands just didnt know why they wernt working, but now i know it was disabled

NP, I dont even have the messenger service on this computer apparently, I just took a look.
