Xecuter connectivity Kit slows PC to a crawl

Hi Folks,
I have the Xecuter Pro connectivity kit and when I power it on the pc virtually freezes and crawls along after that. Anyone got a fix for that?

Do you have it connected to your comp via usb? If so try installing the drivers for it.

It is connected by USB, went in device manager removed all usb devices, let XP find them and reinstall them after a restart but the pc dies after I switch on the connectivity kit. It still works but there are long periods of waiting after each mouse click.

Download the CK3 Tool:

Try those drivers.

If your not flashing a lite-on you do not need your usb connected, the reason your comp is slow with the ck3 has to be either the usb connection, or the sata connection to the drive.

Try just the ck3, without the sata connected to your drive. If it still runs slow, try without the usb connected to your ck3/computer.

I will try these tomorrow , I am trying to flash an eBay purchased replacement liteon drive.....but the problem was here on previous attempts at liteons. Its only under windows, in dos its fine.

Ok, then its a driver problem for sure.

Do you have an rs232 cable? You will need one to dump data from the lite-on in iprep. That may also solve your problems if you are having usb troubles. You can use the rs232 cable in iprep and/or jungle flasher.

Yup, best and safest bet would be to use a serial cable and iprep. I fixed up a computer for a friend to flash with and his was like that. He wanted to use JF so bad though. Ended up formatting the computer and re-installing windows to get it to work right. What a pain that was.

Bit late coming back but re-installing using CK3_PRO_USB_DRIVER 4 XP fom bins improved matters considerably......as you suggested. Thanks a lot folks.
