Help upgrade to 1.6 Iextreme for samsung ms28

Hi Cofree,

i used your tutorial for the stock samsung to flash to 1.5IE awhile back and now i can't upgrade to 1.6IE. I've been looking at tutorials for awhile now and JF won't let me go to vendor mode so i've been at it with iprep v.89.

i have a backup of my samofw on my desktop.

i'm trying to flash it in dos with iprep but it keeps saying unknow flash chip, file not found>samofw.bin?????

this is what i did dsam and then my serial, etc and it does detect my samsung drive.

this is driving me nuts. i've been at this for hours. please shed some light so that i can start playing some new games.

on the sam drive you just start over and do the whole thing
build the iprep flash with the new hacked firmware
then dsam let it build your new hacked firmware then fsam

you make it sound so easy but really i've been at this for hours now and that damn message keeps popping up.

unknown flash chip, file not found samofw.bin

this is getting me mad.

1. i used iprep v008.8 to load 1.6 IE
2. then dsam (my serial number)
3. then it finds my drives and then i hit "d" for dump but that message pops up.

i have no idea what i'm doing wrong. do i need my samofw.bin? to load inside of Iprep?

finally got it. i used JF and finally put into vendor mode. it took hella long for it to write and verify the flash though about 5 mins is that normal? anywho, not complaining it works now. hopefully, no more updates for awhile now.

It all depends on your computer. I can flash a drive in about 30 seconds. But ive noticed on some of the video tutorials the computer seems to be slow.

Well expect a new update in about a month or 2 (lets hope)

Im not a big iprep user, but I think you may need to load the ofw in iprep.
