AVG Ughhh!!!

Post by rkd2398 »

Anyone having problems with avg lately? My pc runs pretty smooth but over this last week, AVG is telling me that I am infected. I'm like WTF!!! Files that I have had for ever are now trojans?

I've been using AVG for quite a while now. I haven't had any problems from it myself. Occassionly have some problems with getting updates, but not real often.

Might scan it with another online scanner just to be sure, especially if its tagging old files that used to pass as clean.

What files does it say are infected? If you have hacking programs on your computer, or keygens or anything it will likely report them as trojans etc...

I know with cheat engine it will report some of the dll's as viruses. I used to hack a couple MMORPG's with friends, and we would inject dll's and the dll's were always blocked by AVG.

No hacking programs, just my flashing stuff. I uninstalled it and installed Avast and haven't had anything pop up. So I guess AVG just giving me a false alarm.

Well my AVG decided to tell me my itunes was filled with "Small BOG Trojans" apperently there is no such thing as a small bog trojan, so....

The best part about it is avg decided to remove all the 'infections' so it ended up deleting like 20 dll's from my itunes folder. Needless to say it corrupted my itunes, and I lost my entire library...

I am now using kaspersky ;)
