laser replacment fault TS-H943

hi i had a faulty TS-H943 drive it was not reading games so replaced the laser with a laser from a Hitachi GDR-3120L,i read on internet that they was the same after replacing now the laser does not move it stays in one place but the laser lights up.
any ideas to help

Did you make sure that the plastics are attached to the drive shaft?

its ok now sorted it replaced the laser drive motor had a spare and its working now,thanks for reply
