Is Connectivty Kit a must?

Hey I just flashed a Ben q drive watching the video tut by cofre and he was using a connectivity kit and I did not and it worked just fine. But now Im trying to flash a lite-on and I keep getting a error for the dummy bin. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

you would need a connectivity kit to flash a lite-on as when power cyclin the drive the 360 auto closes the drive. The Benqs can be flashed without. Also with a lite-on you will need a probe to extract the key. ie , ck3 pro and probe
