BenQ drive doesn't get the 0x73 status !!

Hi guys here's the deal, this Saturday i was trying to flash my cousin's xbox BenQ drive that still has the original firmware, I followed the instructions in the IPREP V009 tutorial, but when I was at the MTK vendor intro his drive didn't get the good status of 0x73 . It keeps from 0x51 and 0xD1 only. I'm using the xbox power supply to turn on and off his drive, but not a VIA or NFORce sata drive.

PS. I did this method with my xbox and worked flawlessly.
PS2: Is it totally safe to unplug the power cable from the drive with the console On?! I mean, because I have to do the Geremia's Unlock method and I'm using my xbox power supply, so i got a little scared doing that.

samsung and benq work best with a via chipset
if you are using iprep
if you are going to stick with iprep get the card.

Thx Cofree, but, about my second PS, Is It safe to do the Geremia's Unlock method using the xbox power supply? Pulling of the power cable from DVD with xbox turned on and stuff ??

you can do that
but
i NEVER do it that way
and would tell you to not do it that way
your best to get a ck3 of some kind and power the drive with a old pc power supply
