Burnt DVD Movie On Xbox

Post by HaGGardSmurf »

I recently burned all of entourage, and tried to play it on my xbox, and it would not play the disk, it just listed it as a mixed media disk.

What application do you guys use to burn dvd's and do they work on your 360?

if they are avi files the 360 will play it as long as you have the divx update on your console

keep in mind that the divx update is keyed to your HD and console.
so if you move or put your HD on a different console it will not play unless its signed in to live.
as long as its on the divx update is on the same console it was took on it will play off line or online.

the 360 will play normal ts file that are normal dvd movies right out of the box

Im pretty sure theyre .AVI I dunno, I transcoded the files with nero vision, and the dvd works on all my dvd player's but not my xbox.

Also, I have the update on my console.

Don't just click on the disc on the main blade (nothing happens) Scroll along to Video Library and then click on current disc and they should all show up.

I bought a couple usb couplers today, so I just rigged a couple of my 25 foot cat 6 cables together, and now have that xbox on my network, so I can just stream my movies to the tv I want ;)

hahaha yea I did too, I had a cable strung across the hallway, it was pretty discreet, but still...

So i drilled a hole in the floor under my router and have the cable going straight into the basement ;)
