Hello I am very new to the Xbox Flashing scene, and was wondering if I can use the sata cable connected to my pc dvd drive or if I have to buy one with a special chipset to connect to my benq dvd drive. I'm currently running Windows Vista 64 bit if that helps at all.
Thanks,
Erik

Its recomended to buy one because it works with all drives and using a 32 bit operation system is recomended because the programs used to flash your console are created on a 32 bit computer

Yes Windows XP 32 Bit works the best. You can use the On-Board Sata, but you have to disable the drivers for use with Jungle Flasher. Check to see if your on-board is VIA as its the best. Louis09 made a good point about buying one, so that you don't have to disable the drivers, just don't install them. If you have anymore questions just post them up.

Please No Questions by PM, Use the board that's what it's for.

Re: Do I need to Buy a Sata Card?
No problem, once the card arrives all you need to do is put it in your computer, when you turn on your computer its proberly going to ask you to install the drivers for the card, ignor this then go into device manager then disable the via card, now you wont be asked to install the drivers for the card everytime you turn on your computer and this will prevent you having any problems with jungle flasher;)
