Hitachi 79 freezes c when attemting CD Unlock

As per the title, I have a Hitachi 79 drive here, and have gotten it into mode b, but when I insert the unlock cd, the entirety of windows locks u completely. I'm not sure what could be causing this, I've tried chancing the SATA in my Bios from compatible to advances, as I saw that as a solution, but it has done nothing for my issue. Has anyone dealt with this before and found a solution? Help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure if this is helpful with the issue, but I have managed to got the drive into mode b this time via JF, then attempted to have JF take care of the unlock cd. The computer once again locks up almost entirely, but as soon as the drive is turned off, everything returns to normal again.

I have had this problem a few times with Hitachi, it was when i use the ck3 with the blue cable with probe on it, i switched over to the green power cable that come with the kit and all was fine.

Not sure if this helps but you could give it a try.
