Just a shot in the dark.

Post by tdavidson5636 »

I was tryen to flash a lite-on v74 using Irep v10.7 with Conectivity kit and probe. I was tired and frustrated and toched something I should not have. It fried the drive and now I can't get it to power on or read the ofw or key. I am preaty sure I am just srewed and I have learned a expensive lesson on not flasind lite-on at 4 in the mourning. But if anybody knows of anything I can do to optain key from the xbox360 or way to make the 360 play another drive with a diffrent key please let me know. Thanks to anybody who can help me out

I could not get anything to read at all. I know the drive is fried because there was smoke in my face. It almost caught fire, lol. Even if you guys could help me I don't think I will be flashing anymore drives. My Benq elite just got banned yesterday. I used a conectivity kit and burned all my own backups with a Kereon drive and ran all my back-ups through abgx. I am seeing all kinds of people of 360mods forums that are getting banned. One person said that they flashed a brand new box with a conectivity kit and never played a back up on it and got banned yesterday too. I was on here today to see if old Coffe had anything to say about it. I have my first xbox360 that I just fixed ready to go but I am scared to get online with it now. I am worried that even if I return the ms28 in it back to ofw that I might end up seating of two banned xbox and be shit out of luck. If you guys know anything about what I am talking about please let me know what you think?

The lesson is about to get more expensive... If you were unable to dump the drive, (and get the key from it) your in trouble. There is no other way to get the key, so you will have to use the xbox as a dvd player, but to use it as a dvd player you will first need to buy a new drive.

Sorry to say, but you will need to buy a new xbox.

what exactly did you touch and how do you know you fried the drive? did you erase the drive and then something came loose? cause you should still be able to re-erase it even though the drive may not be detected and then flash it (that is if you didn't see smoke billowing from the drive lol).

Sorry, I should have asked first, were you able to read the drive at all?
