i cannot find xbox 360 with a benq drive

i went to buy xbox 360 with benq drive but i didn't find one, they only got the hitachi drive and i saw a place sales xbox 360 new with the falcon chip but the big problem was that the drive was hitachi

i didn't find a samsung also

please if any one know a site that i can order original xbox 360 new with falcon chip and benq drive

Well.. I searched in all 4 stores for Falcon.. no luck..

Then i got lucky on eBay.. I actually asked more then few sellers to check sticker and let me know if it reads 175W

One of them truned out to be falcon. So i bought it. At that time i was hoping that it would be BenQ

And yes it was Benq..

Not possible to check which DVD drive it has unless you open it and eject dvd drive. Only then you can compair it with images.

right now the only way i do it is buy the 360 from some where i can take it back within so many days if it a hit.
hell ive powered them up in the parking lot with a inverter to check the drive tray.

most stores charge around 8% or something as restocking fees if you open the box and then return it..

I've been looking for a new Premium BenQ 360 for several weeks now. I think most of the Targets and Wal-Marts are selling Hitachi drives right now (at least in my area). I've written many ebay sellers and have actually gotten 3 of them to read me the UPC code only to find more than a 50% chance of the drive being a Hitachi (according to the DVD drive database). They all seem to have the 175W power supplies though...Falcon chips. Oh well, I'm still looking and once I find a BenQ, I'm buying it!

you can get a benq drive in a 360 with the falcon chip(the 175w)

thats about the best you going to get.
i would pick one up from walmart.
take it home open the tray if it not a benq take it back.
that is all you would have to do if it a benq tray then keep it.
anything else take it back.well keep a samsung but i dont think you will get a samsung.

My 2 local Wally's are completely out of Premiums and only have 1 or 2 Arcade versions. The Target where I bought my current Premium only had 1 other Premium there.

I saw the pics of your basement/garage/setup with all the TVs and units on the 360Mods forum...looked like tons of fun and made me want to start something like that! BTW, do you supply the TVs for everyone? Do you also supply the 360s, or do players need to bring their own?--how does it work?-do you charge to use your facility?--what kind of network switch do you use for so many 360s to play together?--are they all connected with wired connections plugged to a single network switch?--do Arcade 360s work fine for these LAN games?)

There are 16 hard lines run
3 access points
all working off 1 router,3 switches 2 8 way and a 16 port
all this is running on a hughes net sat internet setup.


I dont charge anything.Its all for fun
The game room is 350 feet from the house(no girls allowed)
At one point i had 16 stations for playing.it was just to damn many.so we talked about it and cut it down to 11 station now.
At first some of the guys used one of my 360 now most of the guys have there own.
Its a cool setup thats for sure.

1 32" hdtv
5 36" crt
2 27" crt

we start about 6:00 and go till when every.there have been some long nights.
IT gets real fun when you have a night like tomorrow night its game night and UFC fight night.some guys are here for the fight(jocks) some are here just for the game night (geek) man that is some funny shit seeing them all in the same place having fun together.
I guess im in the middle
i game till the fight starts then watch UFC till its over then game some more.

The rattle snakes were killed right here and skinned by me.the 2 females were 6'5" long and the male was 5'6"

Looks like tons of fun man! I saw a PS3 in there somewhere! Who chooses the games to be played? Do you all play the same game at the same time or do you have multiple games being played in groups?

but we all play 360 but we will be play all kinds of thing.
hell weve had gears of war,rainbox6 halo2 and 3 all going at the same time.

Cofree gives me no credit. I built the barn and the pentagon shaped tables in it. I just wanted some credit. lol It is a cool ass place though. Many a battle has been waged between those walls! Used to be a poker room before he changed it. We used to write the name of the winner on the ceiling every time we played. Couldn't do that with the game night though, the ceiling would've been too full.
