streaming movies on banned console using wmv format
ive been converting my movies to wmv format because avi format tries to update or something? using xbox live. is their a way to play divx and avi through win 7 media player on xbox 360 with out xbl or does anyone know a better way to play movies without converting to wmv? any help is great. i dont know much about this i dont wont to burn disc if i dont have to

Use a streaming app, like tversity it will convert all your videos on the fly, when watching on your xbox.
MCE is blocked so you cant use it to watch tv/movies/music etc...

thanks tversity is pretty cool i just streamed death note from hulu to my xbox but i still cant play avi files through it without my xbox trying to connect to Xbox live i might have to fiddle with the tversity setting a little. thanks haggardsmurf

I know someone else had a problem with tversity on their banned console in a topic I was just in, they mentioned they use PS3 Media server, and go into the transcode folder to watch their movies, you could try that.
