Mixed media error

Hey,

I have made a bunch of good copies with verbatim and had good success. I recently formatted my computer and now the first two backups that I have made with the freshly installed Image Burn do not work. The game will not boot up and the dashboard reports that it is a 'mixed medai cd'. Not sure what I have done to screw up my burn but if anyone has any insight I would appreciate it.

well just start from the beginning.
look over this guide.make sure you dump slow 4x speed and burn no faster than 2.4x speed.

dont have any thing like anydvd running in the back ground.it will give you that error every time.

It's seems to be something you (or Windows) has running that you didn't have before...

Make sure IMAPI CD Burning service is turned off in windows services. This can cause problems with all burns if it is on (I think it's on by default), and as cofree says make sure any program that uses your burner is not running.

Hey,

got it working. I totally forgot to specify the layer break (ie. 1913760) in the write menu of Image Burn and now it works fine. It really sucks that I had to make some coasters to find that out. Thanks for the help guys.

if you are dumping with xbc all you have to do is use the dvd file it makes and it set the layer break for you.
