Power adapter for Xbox drives

Post by irishjoe »

I was wondering what’s the easiest way of getting power to an xbox 360 DVD drive? I’ve seen the connectivity kits online but they do more than I need. I just need power… :)

In an ideal world, there would be a USB adapter to power the drive. Anyone seen or heard of one?

Yeah...but no usb can power the drive ....depending on the drive you might find it most difficult to flash the drive without a kit. Sorry man

I've been flashing my drive by using iPrep and watching cofree's awesome videos on youtube ;) Thanks man!

I just wanted a nice neat way of having my old drive connected to my PC to I could rip my games.

I did a load of googling yesterday before posting and I seen an adapter that plugged into the AC supply. Like a laptop power supply. But for the life of me, I can't find it again! Damn! Do you have any ideas who makes it?
