running disc checks with abgx

ok , to cut a long story short , i need to check a disc to see if its stealthed. i normally check the image but my pc (that particular pc) just died.
is it ok (does anybody do this) to check the disc in a normal dual layer drive via abgx ? or do i have to put the disc in my samsung kreon drive via abgx?

if you have the game on disk. You could just dump the disk via img burn and then run that thru abgx. Just putting the disk in the comp will give u dvd files and not the game.

i thought abgx360 had the option on start up to run checks off an image or disc.
