alright so i wanted to know if their is any other way to tell the FW version of my lite on drive because i wanted to hotswap so i took the sticker that told the info :evil: . this was along time ago before i even wanted to risk flashing. but now i want to so is their any other way to tell the fw version?

If its older than 5 or 6 months its definitely a 7 series.

If you want to be sure, open jungle flasher, and see if your drive is detected if it is, it will tell you the Fw version.

alright thanks,i bought it back around christmas 2008 so that means its 7 series right? so i use the probe right?

Do you know the model of the drive or is that the problem?

I read this topic pretty late at night, I figured you were wondering what version of lite-on you had.

An easy way to tell the model of the drive is to open it up and look at the pcb, and compare it to some google images, or post it here and we can identify it. Like I said you can always plug it into your comp and start jungle flasher and it will give you all the info about the drive.
