flashing my LITEON 83850C v1

hi guys - need your help again...just flashed this drive before with the LT release prior to LT 1.1.....got all my backup files from previous flash...just cant get it to dump the files again...ive found on this forum that once you have put on the new LT fw...not LT 1.1.............the one before this..for some reason it wont dump again...anyway when i load the dummy.bin form my previous saved files as the source.....and this new LT 1.1 as the target....and hit the "spoof source to target" button...i get the following error screen see screenshot attached...

is it possible to get this drive back to stock ?..

Hey man the reason you getting this error is because your loading 7000 series firmware ....you need to load 8000 series and it will work just fine.

sorry i tried all the FW in the new liteon LT 1.1 pack...that happened to be the last one i tried, but iassure you i have tried the 83850c v1 fw...and still get the same error...see screen shot of lt fw pack...ive tried the second one down thats highligted..lol

how do i return to stock...cos i never done it before?...so if i return it to stock..this will be the original fw when i bought the drive..is there a tut for this..

you have to DL the original FW from xbins and all you got to do is load it like you would any other fw , spoof, then flash

your not using the newest JF download 1.73 and you should be good to go

ahhh i c sooooooooooooo.....i need the original FW....ie 8385C.bin ( original) from the lt1.1 fw pack and not the one im showing in the screenshot?....so i load my dummy.bin as SOURCE, which i have from my previous flash of this drive, ithink it was 1.61fw....and this ORIGINAL fw as source.....and click "spoof source to target"??????????......and this will make the CFW....so where does the lt1.1 fw come into play?....sorry for being so thick...lol

i used my previous dummy.bin as the source....used lt1.1...i even renamed this to " ix16-liteon-repack" as the target...clicked spoof source to target....created the liteCFW.bin....renamed that to "litcfw.bin"....booted off the usb...followed instruction but get "unknown chip version"....need some help please...ta

am i doing it the rightway?..is there another way...ta

load dummy bin as the SOURCE

press the open target and select the IX version you need

SPOOF source to Target

Save to FILE

go to MTK tab

top right corner hit LO erase button and follow commands

outro your drive

turn off and unplug

followed the advice above..."device intro failed".....drive has been erased....panic setting in cos its my nephews drive...help please...here is the jf log....

you need an older version of iPrep for this.........relax man I will stay with you....tell me whats going on..this will get done as you did pull off a good key.......no worries after that man at all

i cudnt get my head around iprep...so im going this way...

i am using JF v1.73 to custom firmware....im using lt1.1 for where it says

""4) Load "ix16-liteon-repack" as your target firmware"

followed the rest of the guide

but when i select option 5 as this is my drive number and enter "w" to write i get "unknown flash chip"

success....manage to struggle my way through it....i used the l-o-erase command with iprep 8.6...had to copy DOS folder from 1.5 ixtreme to root of usb..put my CFW (lt1.1)made with jungle flasher...into the DOS folder....used my onboard SATA...VIA doesnt seem to work, Had to to type CD DOS at C prompt...although this is not mentioned in the tut..followed the rest..flashe ok...no more flashing drives fro nephews and nieces...a real stressfull time and hours wasted...never again lol..just my own drives from now on...cheers
