Hi,
a friend got a new one of those Call of Duty, 250gig Elites last week, and it has the Jasper chip-set. The drive looks like a LiteOn..2 yellow wires and no notches on the DVD tray cutout. Anyone flashed one yet or is there anything particular to flashing these drives. Is there a tutorial available? TIA< John

The drive is an 8 series lite-on or maybe a 9.
If its an 8 series if its v1, its easy to flash, its flashed like the 7 series. If its v2, or a 9 series, you will need to cut some traces, and solder in the lt switch/vampire or build/buy the probe v2.

I forgot to add there are lots of tuts on the 8/9 series drives but none have been done by us here, we haven't seen many 9 series or 8 v2 drives I myself have only seen 1 of each, so no one has really made a tut on the drives.
Shoot has made a couple tut's go on youtube and search up hackingjungle and you should find their youtube page he's got a couple good video tuts there.
