help with changing drive to new xbox

Hi my xbox died so I bought a second hand one off ebay that wouldn't read discs with the idea of swaping the drive with my benq Lt from my old xbox.The problem is that after I did the key changing with jungle it will only see the back up as dvd.The flashing of the drive to match the new xbox went o.k,so I was wondering what the problem was?Could it be a problem with the new xbox or have I done something wrong.I have swaped drives before with no problems so I was quite sure what I needed to do, but this has got me stuck! thanks for any help-jay

you have proberly been scammed mate, same happened to me before, bought an xbox off ebay because it was cheap and it didnt read discs, put a new drive in, went to play a game but it said play dvd. the guy you bought it off must of messed up a flash so he thought he would sell it and say it cant read discs and not putting its because it was a bad flash. thats the likely chance anyway. check over the key to make sure it is fine

just make sure there are no doubles in it, so for example, the key must not be like this, *******AA*****AA******, the stars are the random letters lol
