First game that requires 3.42 is out!

F1 2010 is now shipped with the 3.42 update and it requires the update to play it, if you cancel the update then it will take you back to the xmb. Looks like 1 to sony at the moment until someone manages to disable this.

Should be easy to bypass. Either just spoof 3.42, or modify the game data and disable the check once you rip the game to your HDD.

I'd bet we'll see the fix for it soon.

Doubt it, its easier to figure out a patch/bypass than to find a new exploit and create a new jailbreak.

Look at the 360 jtag, the exploit was patched over a year ago, and there is still no new jtag.

The jailbreaks are what 80 quid or something, Im struggling to be able to afford one as it is. It woulnt be feasable having to buy another one everytime they updated the FW, Maybee they could update your current JB if you have one.

have you read anything about PS3 jailbreaking recently at all? you can buy a usb programmable board or a device which has compatability and flash psgroove/psfreedom to it and use that as the jailbreak device, easily update it too.

Just a thought but if the update is in the file extraction, and that is where the ps3 will update from. What would happen if you just delete the 3.42 from the folder and just put the 3.41 update in the and hit ok update and see if it just updates the 3.41 and lets you play , or will that wipe the whole jaibreak out and you would have to put everything back as before ?

well ytou have to be on 3.41 for a start to even have a jailbroken ps3, so replacing it wouldnt make a difference lol

well no, think about it, you have to be on 3.41 anyway, so if you replace it with a 3.41 update then he console wouldnt need to update to a firmware its already on, so removing it would be best.

F1 2010 backup has been tested on ps3 jb and it doesnt work unless you have a steering wheel.controllers are not detected,also some have reported(including myself)that the game doesnt boot past the loading screen.
