All of you gamers out there lucky enough to own a 3d TV will get to play Call of Duty Black Ops in full stereoscopic 3D when it releases later this year- This includes zombie modes, single player and multiplayer. You can also go into split screen using this feature. The platforms this 3D new age in gaming are availible on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, so look forward to Call Of Duty In 3d really soon

The latest Call of Duty series will be playable in both 3D and non-3D on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and the PC as long as you have 3D-ready televisions or monitors.

Mark Lamia, Studio Head of Treyarch commeted:

"Development of stereoscopic 3D began as an R&D project, but once we saw what the technology brought to the Call of Duty experience, what a great fit and how immersive it was, we knew that we had to develop it for Black Ops. Aiming down the sights of your weapons, flying in helicopters, rappelling down mountains, and moving through highly detailed environments are just some of the awesome experiences you will have in 3D with Black Ops.We made sure the experience is seamless for gamers to use with a simple menu option to enable stereoscopic 3D or disable it at any time whether playing in the single player campaign, multiplayer or Zombies”

Call of Duty: Black Ops for Windows PC is Nvidia 3D Vision-Ready and supports stereoscopic 3D gaming using 3D Vision active-shutter glasses and Nvidia GeForce GPUs.

You will be able to go 3D from 9 November.

I dont see the use, not yet anyways...

There is no 3D show's on T.V theres like two 3D movies out, and there is no 3D games (until black ops).

I dont know if I'd even buy a 3D TV when there are loads of 3D movies and some 3D shows... I can see it now, I'd get tired of watching it in 3D after a while.

Plus, theyre comming out with tv's that dont require glasses (there is some special name for the 3d technology it uses) If I were to get any 3D tv it'd probably be it.

Plus the T.V's are like 5 grand.

I get headaches watching 3D movies so gaiming in 3D is probably a no-go for me. Movies are more or less 90 minutes and I tend to do 2 - 3 gaming... that's gonna be one heck of a headache!

My missus will most likely get one just to have some TV time herself

They'd lose absolutely every customer they have if they did that, guarentee'd.

I could see them having the T.V setup and black ops ready to go, but they'd only let you use the glasses and demo the game if you were buying something.

Don't waste your money on a 3D TV. A buddy of mine won one at his work for a sales contest they were having and it would be a total waste if he had bought it.

Where we are in DE the only channel he can get for it in 3D is ESPN. The batteries on the glasses don't last the 8hrs+ they say they do you're lucky to get 2 or 3 hrs. Then there's buying additional glasses, most sets only come with two pair and each pair you need to buy cost between $150 - $200.

Watching a Football or baseball game in 3D is cool, but it gets old quick, and like some one else said it does give you headaches after a bit. So playing C.O.D. would be alright at first but I guarantee after the first few games of playing in 3D, you'll be tired of trying to aim with messed up depth perception, and headaches.

Yeah, I hear as much as 10% of people will experience headaches or eye strain from the glasses. You might as well spend your money on beer.
