if you saw the old video on flashing with the dos flash.that is a old video.there is a better way.

you need a sata card in your computer like this one.it needs a via6421a or L chipset.
http://tekgems.com/Products/la-pci22-vt6421a.htm
a usb flash
thats it. the program you need can be found in the 360 programs thread on this site.
iprep101 v006.1

here look at this video it the new one.

I would suggest doing your first flash without the blaster. That will ensure that you are not fighting that issue. Once you have flashed it then you can use the blaster in the future for flashing. Make sure you are using the port that is closest to the front of your computer on the via card.

Yes you will definatly be using the inside port towards the front of your pc. There are some issues with initial use of the blaster, just as you were asking. Which way to have the switches set for example. It just simplifies the process by getting rid of one more piece of hardware. First thing I would do it move to the inside port though, that may be your only problem.

Go to the top of the iprep menu bar and click "tools" then click "check for updates". This will get the latest def file and should allow you to upload the fw.

Post count is what gets the next classification. Most achieve more by posting to help others and that helps their post count. We won't tollerate posts just to boost your post count, but if you want to contribute by helping others with what you've learned we wouldn't mind a bit.

p.s. where you live doesn't get you any extra credit!
