Spoofing a hitachi 79 to be hitachi 59

Hey guys, i just got through recovering the drivekey of an xbox that im trying to salvage with my dad. After install xell and getting the drive key and the drive type we discovered that the original drive was an HL-DT-STDVD-ROM GDR3120L0059... Thats the drive WE DO NOT HAVE. So i do not have a firmware from it. I have an extra hitachi 79fl laying around that has ixtreme on it(i have the original dump from it.) and they key for the 59. How would i go about making this spoof? Thanks much!

the same as any spoof

load the orid v59 firmware in as source firmware in jungle flasher
and
then load in a v79 firmware as target and click the spoof to target

that will make a v79 dvd drive report that it is a v59 dvd drive when the console polls it

as long as you are sure it had a v59 and have the real/right v59 key
you should be good to go.

You dont even need to load FW, you can just launch jungle, get into mode b, use the manual spoof option, you can spoof as a 59, and change the key in the new window that pop's up.

It will then flash those sector's and your done. The hitachi firmware is done sector by sector, so you dont have to flash the entire FW back after a spoof.

Thanks haggard and Cofree!! Got this box working! Had a little trouble at first following haggards guide here.. then i remembered this drive i have was a 79 LOL and finally got my unlock disk out. Works like a charm when you do things right!
