AP25 Question

Hi

I read the AP25 sticky and still -

I'm sorry, I'm extremely noob with this. I got my xbox flashed yesterday. Now does this AP25 mean that if I insert a AP25 game (let's say ACB or NFS Hot Pursuit) into my xbox it will automatically update the dashboard and I won't be able to play backups anymore? Or does it mean that I just won't be able to go on live? I'm sorry I really don't know jack about all this

EDIT: I have a very old dashboard atm if that's relevant, and I don't use Live at all. From what I've read so far I will be fine as long as I don't update to a new dashboard, but will it automatically update if I insert games like ACB and Fable III?

It wont automatically update but there is no use in putting it in really you wont be able to play it because you must take the new dash update to play it but when you do the new dash contains the ap25 check in it now so it wont let you play any ap25 games that are coming out the old titles still play though wait for new FW

but
it will not let you play the game if you dont update
if you do update it want let you play the game amyway
so of course dont update till new firmware is in your console
its due out soon

So basically it was a very shitty idea to pay someone to flash my xbox so close to new FW being released

i would talk to them and see if they would update it for free when the new firmware comes out
if not, and they did not tell up about the big update to the firmware that is going to be a must before they flashed a old out dated firmware in
then yea i would be mad as hell
because they did not care about you
and just did it for the money

that kind of crap just pisses me off

As Cofree said. Plus he hopefully gave you the dummy bin etc in case you wanted to update in the future without having to do the mra hack. It'll make it much easier if you decide to give it a try yourself or you have a falling out with the lad and want someone else to do it
