hi i jsut recieved the ms25 drive and i made a boot flash from iprep using samsung firmware ixtreme 1.4 and i read the firmware and did dsam thing. i got the key read all the banks keys fine, but it says at the bottom its firmware ms25 and ixtreme firmware ms28. would this drive still work in an xbox or do i have to spoof it as ms25 or sumfin

i just checked the key with toolbox and both are good key. and in there it says both rom version as samsung ms25 and other on samsung ms25 ixtreme 2-12x. so shall i carry on with flashing.

No, you won't need to spoof it. If the key is good and it made your hacked firmware, you should be ready to flash. The only difference is, when you flash the ms-25, it will become an ms-28, so next time you flash it, you'll have to use the 10 second trick to get it to dump and flash.

im not sure what you are asking
when you flash a v25 for the first time
you will hit "Y" to spoof as a v28.

Yeah, but you don't really need to spoof it either way. The hacked firmware is MS-28 anyway so you can choose to have it still report as an MS-25, or just leave it be and it will report as MS-28 which will work as well because the 360 allows for upgrades, just no downgrades.

for a second cofree just scared me because i have flashed the drive already. what i was asking is if we go in xbins there is only 1 ixtreme firmware and i used that to upgrade the firmware on ms25, when i go to iprep and make a bootable disc and restart pc. i get onto the menu follow the same instructions as of the video. after dumping the firmware where is says

drive key : 245 45432 and so on
original firmware version: ms25
ixtreme firmware version: ms28

success
drive key copied.

this what the firmtool in dos said unlike in video it says ms 28 for both. my concern it does it spoof the drive already or i have to do it using toolbox in windows.

so it reports as ms-25 so it should work with the xbox in it.

No problem parminder. Just remember that if you spoofed it to ms-25, you can always upgrade to an ms-28, but if you left it as ms-28 or if you upgrade to an ms-28, you can't go back to ms-25.

HI, i just recieved the xbox with those lights. i didnt need a sorting out as it is working fine now, it had this hit 0059dj, he said the drive was not flashed so i just hit flash with the ixtreme. at the end in the ixtreme the message comes as the drive is flashed but not steath. restore the drive and then flash it with the ixtreme. now i take this as it was flashed before. have i screwed the drive or what. i did restore and then flashed it and it said 100 % complete.

first when i flashed it i named my folder x16s-23212 and then after the restore, i made a different folder as x16s 23211, both of them has now and was key same like different numbers . plez help i m scared.
