If you stopped playing Modern Warfare 2 because you were sick of the cheats, glitchers and the lack of balance then don't buy Black Ops. It. Is. Awful.

I have already lost count of the number of times I have shot a full clip into an opponent from close range only for them to turn round and kill me because they are using a rapid fire control pad or a lag switch.

I don't claim to be the best shot in the world but I've been playing online long enough to know when I've shot someone or not. Treyarch said they would do something about the cheats that blighted the last game and they have failed miserably.

Being able to report a cheat after the game is not good enough; I want to be able to report someone during the game and then leave so I can stop these people levelling up off my back.

The weapons on Black Ops feel antiquated compared to Modern Warfare 2 and the spawn points are awful, plus the maps are generic and dull.

I can't understand why anyone is getting carried away about Black Ops. If Modern Warfare 2's problems were fixed next week people would see Black Ops for what it is: a poor imitation of a flawed but better game. My score for Black Ops multiplayer: 4/10. Cheating is still rife , crap weapons, crap maps.

well i think that is a little harsh.
i think he is 110% right about the cheats and lag switch stuff
there are many more cheats going on also than those two.
To me that will be the down fall of muti player games (fps)
they need to get off the person playing a backup and get to work on the cheat
if someone is a a pirate they are not going to buy the damn game anyway (banned or not)
but
a cheat will stop someone from buying the next game
also add in the fact that most all cheats are also pirates you see where im going with this,right
all that happens by letting the cheats run wild is chasing away paying customers.

I've been playing multi-player games since my 386 with 256k of ram and a 14400 modem or less. I loved Halo 1 and all the rest of the Halos everything just keeps improving. When I found Call Of Duty 4, I was was in gamer heaven. I then went to call of Duty MW2 and spent even more hours of my precious time completely hooked. Now I can't stop playing Black Ops which I think is maybe the best yet. New maps will help, but overall the best game i've ever found for my taste in multiplayer competion. Yes of course there will be lag problems and cheaters and people who know every glitch and spot to rape everybody, which I just consider being great at that game because you've spent so much time on it.
I mean come on, we are not playing a profesional sport here, we are playing a simple game for fun. just like a pick-up basketball game or card game, there will be times your opponet will know every dirty trick in the book to woop your butt. But other times you will have a very rewarding and fun GAME.
In short it's not perfect, but with the choice of games out there, I don't know why anyone would waste there time bashing a particular one. Really, if I spent my time gripping about all the games I don't like, I would never find time to play the ones I do.

most pirates r cheats i dont agree with statement at all i wont go nto great lengths on how i feel bout the game but anytime theres online play there will be cheats with a store bought copy or back up copy but anyhow its a decent game

what i was talking about is if someone works the cheats, hex working a iso and the other stuff
then you can bet they are a game downloader also
but there are a few people that play backup games that are not cheats

Everyone always complaining about cheaters. I usually manage a 2.0+ k/d ratio and never see any cheaters in black ops. Saw one or two in MW2 with the care package exploit. Guess I manage to get into clean games? Don't blame the net code, your line, or your skill level. Just blame 'dem cheaters!!

yeah codbo is getting as bad as mw2 for the cheaters and script kiddies
they are still doing the enemy name in green not red thing

but nothing "yet" like i saw in mw2, i started a game, nearly finished and we were seconds away from being nuked it counted down the last 10sec then changed to 59:59sec but not only that every second we got a plane strike too, and every shot from every1 was a godamn rocket ???

it did my head rite in but i stayed for the finnish

all that hype 3arc went on about aswell to stop the cheaters, man you cannot beleive a word they say
we are just a cleverer set of lads

Ive been playing it alot over the past 3 days again, I dont cheat and never have and never will. In fact I think its just cheating yourself. I think to myself " Do these people really enjoy beating everyone by using a cheat, I just wouldnt find it fun at all " Same for boosters, what fun is it to allow each other to kill each other just for a daft supposedly better prestige medal ? Its really is laughable. I think surely theres no one over the age of 10 boosting or cheating, Unless they a bit dippy in the head. Like a bit weird you know.

Sometimes if this 1 guy has like 40 kills and 3 deaths I say to my friends " The fkn cheater, glitcher and other things and I was about to send him a message but I decided otherwise just incase he wasnt and Id look like a bad loser,lol. But on the flip side Im on the second prestige and during this level from 1 to 50 Ive had about 30 MVP`s and most of the time finish top 3 but Ive never cheated. As much as I hate to say this but I think its just some people are actually better than we are wether we like it or not, Trust me Im very competetive and hate being beat but its just a fact.

P.S I have no doubt people still use glitches and lag switches but Im not sure Ive seen it personally
