Key location isnt a huge deal. It is when you go online though.
Going online with a hitachi on 1.51 is not a good idea anyhow.
What you can do is dump the OFW from the failing hitachi, and flash that to the new hit. Or if you mean the hit is failing as in the laser is near dead, just swap the PCB's, or lasers.

Thanks for your reply HaGGardSmurf, i will try swapping the PCB before swapping the laser, not really bothered about going online but i plan to restore to orig firmware and then flash up to iXtreme LT+ for Hitachi. One of the new drives i tried to flash will now only go into mode B if i use Slax CD, since Jungleflasher locked up my system and i now encounter system running slowly when trying to use Jungleflasher, might try reinstall of windows on spare hard drive to use for xbox flashing.
Once again thanks for your prompt reply

NP, just make sure your taking your pcb from the old drive and sticking it in the new drive.
Now hardware wise the drive will be brand new, but software wise it's the same, thus your keys and info will all stay the same.
