trying to update a xbox 360 but for some reason it wont update i just get an error mesage saying cant update your console status code 3153 335a b380 0402 c000 000d

sorted now i changed the drive a while ago to a samsung because my original benq packed up , i put the original dive in to update it and it updated ok , thats strange how an update can see what drive you have

Well the update tries to flash your drive, so its probably one of the checks, it verifies the drive in the console before it flashes the FW.
You'd brick your benq if the console went through with the update, as it would have flashed samsung firmware to the benq.
