once you take the latest dash update you can flash the drive with LT+ again but it wont play ap2.5 games?

i just had someone asking me to flash their drive again because they took the update, they had found someone else to flash it because i didnt get back to them in time, he replied to my message saying hes playing all his games again! is it the samsung drive that doesnt have the ap2.5 checks? if yes then maybe he can still play all his games, not sure though :S
