new f/w for hitachi 78/79 ?

been rootin around the google and can't find a whole lot about the 78/79 drives.was wondering if anyone else has heard anything. the only thing i have found is for the newer drives.
wondering if a new f/w might come out?
if not, can i switch to a newer hitachi and flash my orig key to it?
does the hitachi need to be flashed with a new f/w to be safe?
i have not taken any update at this time, just waiting for the news on the next step

the latest firmware for hitachi drives is LT+ 1.1, your best off using that to be as safe as possible.
