xbox slim wont recognise new hd

hi i have a 4g slim , well i have a spare 60gb hard drive i have put the hard drive into a cady and fit it into my slim buit it isnt picking it up any ideas why anybody please

thought i would say i have tried another one the same and it wont pick that one up either

as far as i know you cant just replace the HD in a slim
you have to do the same stuff as the phat console
you have to have a ssHD file for the size HD that xbox console supports
or get a real xbox 360 HD

You can get a 250 gb hd for your slim for under $50 shipped at Dealextreme. Shipping is sometimes slow as it comes from China, but for that price it is worth the wait.
