C4E’s iXtreme Burner MAX V1.0
Re: C4E’s iXtreme Burner MAX V1.0
I'm having trouble making a back up after flashing my ihas 124 using your tut. I'm using imgburn and verbatim disk write speed is 2.4x. I have tried 6 times and I still get the same error unreadable disk. Everything is verified on imgburn and no errors.
Or do need to RE-flash the drive again?
Please HELP
Thanks

Re: C4E’s iXtreme Burner MAX V1.0
Hi I got my lite on for my max burner today and everything went fine until the write. It asked me if i was sure i said yes but then it started to write instead of asking me to pick a folder for the bin file.Ive watched the vidio again and have done it to the letter and it was the right drive also.If its messed up is it knackered or can i do it again?thanks J
edit I have tried to burn gears 3 and its saying there isnt enough room so does this mean it hasn't worked.anyone know of a tut to start over and try again. So gutted if its knackered

Re: C4E’s iXtreme Burner MAX V1.0
you should be able to restore the drive as long as you have the backup
i would see if it would burn/read anything at this point
then if not
try to restore it
if it will then it was not flashed with the new firmware
and would start over and try to flash it

I've been looking on Amazon for the drive. I keep finding different ones like i.e.: IHAS124-04, IHAS424-98, IHAS224-06, etc.... Are they the right ones? Or does it specifically have to say B at the end of the model #? If, so does anyone have a site/seller they can recommend?
Thanks in advance!!!

I'm a bit unsure. How do you restore the drive? I wanna 'upgrade' my 124 to a 524 lol
Edit: o.k did it.
EDIT2: tried it on 524....... seemed not to like it much!

What was the problem with it? Did you update it to the AL2A after crossflashing it before putting the burner max firmware on? I've been thinking about updating my 124b but may hang back a bit as the extra options don't interest me much i just like the idea of getting a more expensive drive cheaper10mg wrote:I'm a bit unsure. When i crossed flashed it, the green light on the drive kept flashing. I mean the drive opened and closed ok. The flashing only went away when i put the correct firmware for the device on it. I'm assuming that green flashing = not good.
May try it again when i get home from work today.

Green light flashing just means you aren't done yet. After flashing to to upgraded version firmware, you need to finish by going back into eeprom tool under the crossflash tab. Finally, reboot to finish the job.
New Convert Drive function
This exciting new crossflash feature reads the firmware to find out which model the drive is and changes the EEPROM to match the model it finds. The drive must first be flashed to the new firmware, which must be compatible with the drives hardware (chipset), and then this function used. The drive will become fully functional after a system power off, or if external, the external enclosure switched off.
This function can take a while to complete, as it looks at the firmware to find the drive model.
Please note: An SATA drive must be powered off to finish the conversion.

Re: C4E’s iXtreme Burner MAX V1.0
As Moonkinght says. Follow his guide on the previous page and it will work. Might give it a whirl when i get a bit time. Wooh free added options
Edit: Confirmed working, the only thing i did differently was finishing the flashing process with the speedfixed firmware to enable Ritek dye discs to burn at 2.4x. Sweet. Cheers Moonkinght.
