ok guys
i have one for you.
i have a console/HD that is NOT banned ,but it has been flagged for failing ap25 checks
if i move the profile from the original console its corrupt. if i put it back on the original console it works fine.
i have run the different programs on a copy of the profile to try and fix it
they do not work.
does anyone have any input for me
of course im still looking also
like most the first place i looked was google just to see what pop upped
right off i found a vid by our own Haggardsmurf
it was great
Corrupt Profile on non-banned console
Re: Corrupt Profile on non-banned console
ok guys
i will update this and let you know what i did to fix this problem
After reading for hours
I came across a few post that said M$ has stopped banning console based only on the ap25 fails
m$ had so many faults positives because of weak lasers and other things that they stopped.
so as long as your console has not been flagged for ban for any other reason
then you should be able to get on live with it.
At this point what does it matter if it gets banned or not
all the profiles are corrupt anyway and cant be moved to a different console
along with the fact that the only way to remove the ap25 flag is to dump the nand remove the flags
all the other crap that comes alone with messing with the nand flash
and reflash it to the nand.
Im just not going to all that work and even then many said it would remove the flag but not fix the profile.
anyway
so i made sure the console was as stock (stock firmware) as i could with the profile on it (of course it was fine on the original console)
and plugged the cat5 cable in. singed the profile up for live.
things went good
i got on live, and had no trouble.at this point M$ had a copy of my profile on the live servers
so thinking the problem was fixed i powered down the console with the profile on a flash and moved it to the console i had been wanting it on to start with
The "F"in thing was still bad.
Good lord what was going on.
so at this point i new the profile was up on the live servers
took the flash out
signed in live and did a gamertag recover
as always it took its sweet ass time, but when it was done it was good
i can move it from one console to another and get on live.
I did not move it back to the console that is ap25 flagged
Im sure it was mess it up again.
Ok guys
sorry for my long winded rant
maybe this will help some one

Re: Corrupt Profile on non-banned console
I had something similar happen to a particular game save of Lego Harry Potter once. The game save got corrupted but nothing else did. It was played on a banned box but ONLY the save was corrupted and not the profile, weird I know. no matter what I did i couldn't uncorrupt the save.

Re: Corrupt Profile on non-banned console
I've never quite understood M$'s corruption crap. Half the time your profile if played on a banned xbox wont be corrupted, the other half it will.
Then sometimes your game save will be corrupt but not your profile. Sometimes the uncorruption thing works, other times it doesnt.
IMO profile corrupting is so useless... Just another reason to dislike microsoft
It's a crap video made off my old 'windows mobile' phone. I figured I'd leave it up for people to see if they needed but I'm not proud of how bad the video is
