LT 2.0 to LT 3.0 update

Post by turbomcp »

Hi
let me start by saying i never connected to the internet and never gonna connect to the internet with my console.
i am currently running LT 2.0 with dash at 2.0.13599.0(i think that was the one required/needed when lt 2.0 started)
anyway now that LT 3.0 is out im thinking should i upgrade right now or wait?
i mean there isnt any game that requires this yet right(again playing offline only)
another question is , if i wanted to update would i do same procedure? meaning:
1.reflash to stock
2.download and usb install the latest dash
3. flash to lt 3.0
4.done

or can i just update firmware from lt 2.0 to lt 3.0 and thats it and when that dash is forced with some game ill be fine?

forgot to add,i noticed kinectanimals with bears loads but gives "unsupported disc..." error, so im guessing i have to flash , only question is how(direct flash 2 to 3 or "old" method 1 2 3 4)
Thanks in advance for any reply

Your right with your first option,

1.reflash to stock
2.download and usb install the latest dash
3. flash to lt 3.0

I always do this and never have problems, hope that helps.

i screwed up on one thing i flashed to pre-xxxx instead of post xxxx:)
but i figured it out since it didnt let me update the dash with an error but original games still worked fine.
after flshing to post it let me update dash then flashed again to lt 3.0 and all is good.
Thanks again
