I modded 360's years ago thru the drive flash method and have slowly done a few since for myself and a select few.
Last week i found boxes of old parts i had forgotten about and seriously considering a J-Tag attempt. The trouble is.. all i really know is it requires an old dashboard, some soldering, and a shit ton of reading thru thread after thread of discussions by people that assume you know what they are talking about.
Is there a step by step guide that explains all the technical jargon the way the first noob guide to drive flashing did?

First, you need an xbox with dashboard version less than 8995. If it is 8995 or newer, you can reset glitch hack it. Post back with what you have as far as dashboard and what type of console (xenon, falcon, or jasper) so we can go from there...

you can RGH your console which is virtually the same as a j-tag. you can only RGH console dashboards upto 14716. This method requires a Cool Runner chip.
