Updating MS-25 SAM-OFW Does not exist Error

Hi there. I am updating my MS-25 from version 1.2 to 1.4 using iPrep v006.1. I have my original firmware with a valid key. I am using onboard SATA but my drive is always recognized and I have flashed before.

Whenever I run dsam, I get the same error of "BACKUPS/XXXXXXX/XXXXX/SAM-OFW.BIN does not exist! aborting". This occurs after I select my drive number and let it sit. I eventually just press ESC after it does nothing and get that error. I tried copying my original fw into the Backups folder and naming it both SAM-CFW.bin and SAM-OFW.bin but nothing changes. Help is greatly appreciated.

well it has to have a via6421a or L chipset

on the sam drives all you sould need to do is make a iprep usb flash and do it just like the first time.
dump the firmware let firmtool run and build your (new)hacked firmware.
check the key in firmware toolbox make sure its good.then flash

I think my problem is that the firmware is not dumping. However, after I get that error there is always a SAM-CFW.bin in my backups folder. I've done a lot of searching and you always talk about the chipset, but I've flashed before on my onboard and it recognizes my drive.

Another thing that might help: when MTKFlash reads my drives, it pulls up
1: DVD drive Pri
2: DVD drive Slave
3: XTREME Pri
4: XTREME Slave

I'm not sure why there are 2 XTREME drives, but I always choose primary and have had the same error with slave.

just because it sees the dvd drive doesw not mean it will dump/flash.

if you check that cfw
i think it will not be 256 in size.
its just a folder it does not have your hacked firmware in it.
