Benq & 0800 Firmware

can some tell me how/ what prog to use to flash my benq to this FW ?

so then i can use it with xbc to backup games

this is my only option until i get that samsung..if ever


now after im done backn up the games....would i just flash back to the ixtreme fw ?


someone please break it down an explain this for me step by step if possible.

i did it just like doing a restore BUT i used the 0800 firmware and renamed it

then flash it in doing a restore with it.worked good.

the only problem i had is i could not start the computer with it hook up.
i had to have the power plugged in start the computer then at the windows loading bar.where the lines goes from left to right.as soon as i saw that screen.I had to plug the sata cable in real fast.it took a little longer for windows to load but it did and the drive was there.

so dont have to do this they just start the computer and it mounts up fine.

so i can't use the dosflash32 prog to flash the 0800 fw to the benq ?

like i used to flash the ixtreme

i was hoping i could...cuz this prog makes it so easy

Honestly, it's so much easier to use the SH-D162C or SH-D163B, if money is no issue, you are really better served getting one of those drives than dissembling the 360 each time you want to backup a game.

alright im done with flashing but now while XBC is ripping the game my 360 shuts down during the process....why does it do that ?

i think i have to do something to keep it form shutting down i just dont know what it is

not sure what you are talking about.

after you flash the 0800 firmware in the drive you hook it up to just your computer.
you dont leave it in the 360 at all.
crap i get it.
the 360 will power down after about 5 min with out the dvd drive sata hooked up.
to do this you need a Connectivity Kit V2

you use that to power the drive from your computer.

the 360 dvd drive will not be hooked up in the 360 at all.

yea i'm not planning on using this method more than once or twice unless i had an extra benq drive which i don't.

Yes I would like help as well so do I just go to iprep use rben 1234567 12345 then flash it i used firmware toolbox to put my key in the 0800.bin file and renamed it to BenQ-OFW.bin So do I just flash and when I want reflash to my orig.bin or my ixtreame 1.41 first And I have Xeno topgear to make things easier

i think that the 0800 firmware will back up a game with out a key in it.
but
if you put your key in it .
when you build your iprep flash with the v1.41 H.firmware then you should be able to do it just like normal.
dump/flash
it will pull the key out of the 0800 firmware and put it in your hacked firmware.
i would still check it with firmware toolbox before flashing
just to be sure.

If you are going to be flashing back and forth .
make damn sure you have a copy of your orig firmware and key backed-up in more than 1 place.save it off your fcomputer.

I have my key in like 6 different parts of my computer 4 flash drives and in my psp But can you give me steps to do it because at one part when trying to erase it got stuck at erase and never moved. So can you please tell me everything to do step by step
and I'm using a the via sata card I used to flash benq's and ms28's. And also remember I'm using Xeno top gear.

check if the drive will play right now.
orig and backups.

as long as it will.
if you have not done a restore i would start by doing a restore with your orig firmware.just to get the hang of it.

you also could just try reflashing with ixtreme v1.41 right over what ever is in the drive now.Even if it v1.41
just to make sure things are working.
if it keeps giving you trouble take the top gear out of the way and flash without it.

Yes It can still play backups It did it twice it stayed at erasing but it still plays Backups. It just won't let me flash with Xeno but I don't want to remove the Xeno because I want to be able to flash back and forth without opening case I heard there was a method to flash in windows do you know how? And flashing is not new to me as I did it before lots of times and restored orig firmware but nothing like this has ever happen before Thats why I asked for steps As I seen you used a blaster V.1 before thats why I asked.

well make sure the modeB is off.
other than that it flashes the same.

no you cant flash a benq or sam in windows.

have you got it to flash over with the blaster on.
if not that is the first thing to do.There is no xtra steps to do.other than the sata cable goes in the blaster not the drive.
if you try some and it will not flash .Then take the blaster out and see if it will flash.
Have you ever flashed with the blaster.Do you know for sure that its working right.

I have Xeno witch is basically the same thing It never flashed with it but I wanted to flash between the 0800 and ixtreame so I can backup games when I want. Ok there is another problem witch I need to discuss when iprep tells me to turn on my drive I turn it on and it gets stuck at 80. Or it will go between d1 and 51 like it's supposed to b ut when i turn the rive back off it gets stuck at d1 where it is supposed to start erasing I've tryed rben and fben because I wanted to see If I can get my orig.bin back in or put the 0800 in my xbox still plays backups nothing has changed
