Jungleflasher has all the tools to flash a benq, I had trouble with it on vista though. I would stick to dosflash ATM, but that's just me...

Allright, thanks.
Do you know where the BenQ / Samsung unlock button is for? I don't know what it does.

And do you get a message (sound or something) when you turn the power on/off of the CK3 pro in windows? Or something that you know it is on/off?
And wil ANY USB to Serial adapter work (for CK3 lite)? Or does it have to be a special type or something?

Very important for me :oops:

yeah, you have to have a USB to serial with a particular chipset. I think its a max3232 or something like that. You can find cheapies on ebay, or you can get an Xecuter CK3 lite or pro version or a Maximus Xtractor to do the job.

I only find this kind of things:

http://cgi.ebay.com/RS232-Serial-Port-T ... 1|294%3A25" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

But that isn't a serial to USB adapter..
Can this one be used?:

http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-to-RS232-Serial ... 240%3A1308" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

with a CK3 lite?

Alright.
Also another question about this tutorial:

viewtopic.php?f=110&t=3271" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

1. If you read the key, do you only get the dummy file? or also the key, identify and inquiry files? I wanto both of them.
2. Is this the easiest way to flash the drives, do you think?

=======================================================================================
Ok guys im putting this thread to bed.

It was started to keep every body up on the latest info on the lite-on.
At this point i dont think we need to keep it going.
Im not locking it but i am making it a standard post and not a sticky

The Lite-On xbox 360 can be flash now.
We have video guides in the tutorial section on how to do this.

I want to say thanks from all the staff and members of RobinHoodsPlayGround for all the hard work that went into making this possible.

So to everyone that help make this possible.
a very big Thank YOU

When you type in all caps on a forum or messenger or what not, thats considered yelling, or screaming. Some people don't know about it, but to those that do, it hurts our ears :D

Great tutorials guys, thanks for explaining it all so that everyone can use it :)

I looked over these forums / tutorials and I did have a question (maybe the answer is so obvious no one thought it needed stated): After I soder R707 do I need to unsoder it or can I leave it like this when I use my XBox (assuming the flash procedure worked)?

Thanks for the help.

You can leave it, or you can unsolder it. Either way, it will work. So it's just a personal preference on unsoldering R707. Of course you could just whip up a DIY probe/spear and not solder it at all :D
