Hey when I got banned all I got was a message saying this console had been banned, is this different from what everyone else got?

the same happened tp my brother, i just got off the phone with him and he told me that, he has just been playing the arcade games all week, I don’t think its just to do with bad ripped games.

I have 2 Consoles...The first one was banned 2 days after Halloween. My second one Last night. Both have been Q Drives
with 1.6 Firmware on them. I thought it might be from bad rips, But some of my friends that have thee boxes modded have not been banned....I also think that once your console is banned your gamertag is Tainted. I had only play original back up's on my second console it still got banned. I order the MW 2 Console and I think I will wait until something is figured out before modding this Xbox.......

from what iv read there seams to b 2 type of ban 1 = console 2= profile
i got the same ban as you backslash a console ban is better than loseing my gamerscore

I have two consoles, one banned, one wasn't.

I played games online with the one that got banned, was careless with checking discs.

I keep the gamertag on a memory card, so I can switch between the Live console, and the bedroom.

After the live console was banned, I swapped the consoles, so I could have Live in the living room.

Been playing for 3 days, no ban.

I bought a new Xbox, moved the gamertag to that one 2 days ago, not banned, but I've also been careful about what games I play in there, check the iso with abgx, and the disc with abgx, playing wave 3 games after release date.

ok yea, i just saw people with the status codes. and i forgot that i never looked at them nvm

so i guess there isnt 2 types of ban its just that the vid cofree posted earlier on in this thread the message that they show is 4 times longer than the one i got ?

na, there are two. one is what's primarily happening now, console bans. and the other is gamertag bans.

One of my xboxes is banned. There other one is still holding up. I played modern warfare 2 so there you go. Anyhow im just waiting until the guys get finished investigating. Time will tell...so im not gonna guess on whats causing this. Later.

I think they've banned people for 12v fan mods in the past. That could have been one of your problems, but unlikely.

Well I got banned TODAY ! I really have not got online in two weeks, and the last backup I played was Borderlands. I have not touched any wave 4 games, I have an old Hitachi v49 drive flashed with 1.51 spoofed as a samsung. I always checked my games with abgx and never played games early. I only played halo odst early and only played it offline with no hardrive, memory unit, or ethernet connected.

I just flashed my friends last month, he has a lite-on v78 drive, NEVER played early and always checked his games with agbx. the last game he played was borderlands. He was banned today also.

Two more friends have yet to be banned, both have never played borderlands or any wave 4 games.

I look at it this way - I saved a shit load of money on crappy games, So I will just go buy a new box, and continue to play the shitty games on the banned box. F*C& you microsoft ! You haven't done much more than piss off the masses, I hope the legit people that get banned take your ass through the ringer !

well i find out all my friend that playing game online. ms ask for the game update after the game update a day later. there xbox 360 got banned.
