Exactly, I want to hack it!

The first PS3s were way to expensive. I don't have anything with hdmi and I doubt I will for quite a while. None of the games really caught my eye either. The linux support looked interesting, but I've heard it's lagging behind. Really low performance given the hardware and no 3d, so what's the point?

Now they come out with new one I could kind of afford by cutting the only feature that was ever really interesting? What's the point?

This topic just perks up the ears. Dont it? There is one coin and two sides. Backups or piracy....blah...blah...blah Microsoft and Sony and Nintendo know what they need to do and they have been doing it. Prices of video games are falling much faster than they used to. I can honestly say that I am more interested in the PS3 being modded to offer me as the owner of that device to unlock its potential. I rather play games on 360 personally. Others, not necessarily here in Nottingham who may bring up all that circumvention crap can circumvent my "bad word"!

I am to be honest wanting to see what the software will be like when compared to the Junglflasher or iprep software's for the 360 and see what will it be after all the hipe .... simple and pathetic that make's some moan out in front of their pc's oh that was so easy I could have done that ... yeah lmfbo , Or will it be a far more complicated software that only those from when time began (the smart and rich got their hands on a pc and learn't things new-comers to the pc and net these simple folk could not grasp at this kind of human inteligence ( or smart arse's off the street that's as cunning as a fox lol)

And then it needs many complicated commands beyond that of the brain of the average noob , and then new cable's , new connectivity kit's and probes that go in every god damm concieveble hole an socket ( arrrrrrrrrh my nooby brain is begining to boil ... lol)

And .... then when you think the nightmare is over ... s*&t this hit's ya ... the model this chap claims to have hacked well he did say and quote ... I was sent the ps3 a year and a half ago ! well if he's only got for example model A. which was from the first release batch of the ps3 then say he creates the software and hack for that one A. batch modle and then let's just say 8 month's later and it's a diffrent drive with alterations and we/me/you have Modle batch B. lmfao - and not last but not least what if there are changes yet again in the new style ps3 slim lmfao it just get's better don't it folks lol.

And as a ps3 owner I am happy to hear the ps3 has been hacked

Creating a exploit for running backup on the ps3 will be a difficult and expensive process. I have read that sony marks each individual Blu-ray game with at specific key. The cost of a blu-ray burner and Blu-ray disc is another problem. Maybe with some type of iso loader..MAYBE

You need dual layer disks, who knows there may end up being a manufacturer that is better than all the rest (ex: verbatim's for DVD+R DL's)

Well most games you I would say a DL isn't needed, but this may turn out to be just like the 360 and only read games from DL disc. Of course if we get some kind of ISO loader, then all you'll need is a good extraction tool, and a huge freakin hard drive.

I would be nice to have a easier exploit for dumping and write to the ps3's NAND. Could fix ps3's with red screen of death.
