CoFree is correct when he says that ImgBurn gives that error because it thinks another program is trying to access the DVD-ROM drive. Close any extraneous running processes through task manager and make sure your CPU usage is low before burning a disc.

That error will not effect the quality of the burn. It is not required ImgBurn have exclusive access to the drive to successfully burn an image file. You can hit ignore and your burn will be the same as if you never got the error message. Further, you can disable the the lock drive for exclusive access option in ImgBurn at tools-->settings-->write and uncheck the lock volume- exclusive access setting. Click ok and you should no longer get that error message when burning.

I have a ton of programs for ripping and burning movies, games etc. so getting them all closed and disabled seemed impossible and even after doing that I still got the error, so I disabled the exclusive drive access option like Sesshomaru said and trusted a shiny new Verb to his advice and it backed up and played just fine. Thanks guys

I get that on my Vista box. Generally, if I know I'm going to burn something with imgburn, I put my blank disk in and restart my computer. As soon as the desktop comes up, I load imgburn and start the process. At that point, imgburn is able to lock the drive for exclusive access and make the burn. I don't know if that would work for everybody, but I feel more confident that I'll get a good burn if imgburn has exclusive access.

Ive burned about 25 games so far, and while I do have a few Sony Coasters, Verbatim disks have yet to fail with the swap trick or the new Samsung Kreon drive. Definately worth the extra little bit you pay for them over the other brands sure they're expensive but coasters are useless so how much money do you really save...

hi, one thing i found about burning with imgburn is that if you have a windows media player playing on the desktop and you are trying to burn the game it wouldnt let you, rather it will give you a message saying '' cannot lock the device present in the medium'' make sure you off the media player and then burn. if you still leave the mdeia player on and press continue it will result in not finishing the disk task and you will get an error of disk unreadable in xbox.

Sweet thanks guys, I flashed 2 BenQs and a Sammy today, using Iprep with VIA sata and a usb thumbstick, all went very well and I traded 60 verbs total to do the 3 flashes so I won't need any for awhile (hope thats legal ;))Anyway just wanted to thank you guys for an awesome forum and the best resource around for modding anything worth modding. Oh and I don't see what the huge stink is about XBINS, using the guide on your site, (not the auto xbins) I got on and got the CFW I needed and got off, pretty easy for the priceless value of that firmware. And I had no prior experience with IRC and only a little experience with FTP (gotta love Firefox) so yeah thats just my 2 cents. Keep it up guys I will recommend this site to everyone I know from now on
