This has been the case for many people, check it out:

"Just flashed a lite-on 7485 with the new update. Had the key from previous flashes and used from Key Database. The 1.181 version of the JF gave me "Parse Failed" so i used 1.67 which I read has been working for some people and I opened the Dummy.bin that the 1.181 version has made. Gave me an error and used the serial and barcode verification. Jungleflasher now shows me Spoofed as: "PLDS DG-16d2s 0251". Then I just had to load the last CFW,click "Spoof source to Target" and just get to Lite-on erase etc etc."

I would still highly recommend waiting for the official CFW release, but if any of you are just curious or impatient version 1.67 of JF seems to be the way to go.

i haven't updated my xbox in several months. do you think it will be safe to update while waiting for a new cfw? has a list of the incompatible dvd models been made available yet?

I wouldn't use any JF just yet.

Use your original disks and play on a stock console, no need to flash anything just yet because you'll very likely end up being banned.

First, I know my reply will be a surprise to some and others wont care, but this is not the end, it is not the last update we will see for drives. The next fw that C4eva and team releases will be just as amazing and usable as past releases. These guys are not amateurs, they are die hard pros! Anyone who has been in this scene for any length of time understands what's happening here. I took the update immediately (as I always do, I have like 6 back up consoles lol) and so far I've seen no ban, no errors, and no issues of notice.
As always, this does not mean that I am the standard, I may be the exception. So like Cofree has mentioned "DO NOT TAKE THE UPDATE UNTIL WE KNOW FOR SURE!!"

wait so your modded console is still functional for backups even after the update?

No he has other consoles he plays backups on. the new update flashes your drive with a new FW. So whatever FW you had on before stock, or ixtreme is history.

According to Xval my box has failed ap2.5 so that given, should i care about this update? the only ap2.5 games i have are retail copys, so i could just flash back to LT? Thanks in advance.

i see he has other consoles but i dont think thats what he ment.. if its a stock console hes talking about then why would he report not being banned or errors.. if its stock then why would he be banned or expect anything to happen? you might be right but im hopping your wrong and for some reason i hope the update didnt effect his modded 360.. wishful thinking

na.. they already know what consoles are going to have a problem and they have been sending those owners emails already. its also not a bricking issue.. its a issue with what ever new games that are going to take advantage of the extra 1gig storage space. those systems wont read them.

Haven't heard of anyone I know being offered a new xbox yet, guess they would have to have their console registered to get the offer. Can anyone confirm which drives are in the ones being replaced, and how one goes about getting a console exchanged?

Plain and simple for you to understand, he took the update because he has other consoles to play backups on (obviously he knows the console is gunna be flashed back to stock), hes hooked up to live and he hasnt got banned and he hasnt experienced any weird problems since updating apart from not being able to play copies (which is normal), so hard to understand?

LT+ v1.9 for liteon is completed but not yet released.
