The whole thing with the connectivity kit and unlocking tool is if your going to be doing more that the one. Yeah, the first 360 I ever flashed, I opened her up with a jewelers flat head. The case is locked in the back with 4 individual latches on one side and 2 one the other. So I used the small flat head to push a single latch at a time while putting pry pressure on the case to keep each latch apart until each side was unlatched. That was a pain to me so I opted for the unlocking kit. Actually, I got my unlock kit with the Black Knight replacement case that I got. The rest of the latches on the end pieces aren't that bad at all.

The connectivity kit on the other hand, was a blessing. Since I was doing quite a few 360's for my friends and family, I was using a V1 xecuter kit. That was alright in the beginning. But I had to pack around an extra AT power supply because I didn't want to use the 360 as a power supply. Then I got a V2 xecuter kit and I no longer need the extra power supply in my toolkit. I keep it around just in case though.

If I were just doing the one, then I wouldn't worry about the extra expense. But if your planning on doing a few or a lot, then the v2 xecuter conkit and unlock tools is what I recommend. The unlock tools comes with the case tool and a t-10 driver too. If you opt for the unlock kit, you can generally get the cheapest one that you can find. I've owned about 3 different brands and they've pretty much been all the same as far as quality goes.

Does anyone have pictures of how they use the Xecuter V2? I don't want to short anything and one of the chips looks like it can stick to something if I peel off the paper.

I've seent the XODD_en.pdf where it shows you the proper way to hook it up (V1). I would just like to see someones own pictures of how they use the kit. Thanks!

Ah. Using NTFS4DOS but saying Out of Memory error after I type Yes to agree to use it privately. I made a 10gb partition but not sure how to make it my primary. Giong to try USB method now.


Crap. Guess my mobo doesn't support booting from USB. Asus P4PE. Even my newer Asus P5K-E WiFi/AP board doesnt' support it.

I yanked a 6gb HD out of an older PC. Installed windows and set up iprep. NTFS4DOS gives no memory errors and I just read all the 4 banks using dben! I'm following Neo's tutorial and watched CoFrees USB video a couple times. Loooking good

Sounds like you are getting it sorted out. NTFS4DOS works fine with booting off a CD (if you don't have a USB stick)...as long as the C partition is less than 32MB, it is very reliable.
